Spring Mountain Vineyard's proprietary red blends fruit from three historic ranches the estate stitched together in the early 1990s: Miravalle (the 1884 Victorian mansion familiar to anyone who watched Falcon Crest), Alba, and Chateau Chevalier. 1994 was one of the great Napa vintages, and three decades on, this library bottle shows the long, even arc those wines were destined for. Fully resolved, savory, layered, still holding its frame. The kind of mature Napa Cab blend that's nearly impossible to find on shelves anymore.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"The 1994 Miravalle Alba Chevalier Proprietary Red Wine (for Spring Mountain, a large production of 6,250 cases) is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. While it is less tannic than the 1993, more elegant and California-like, it retains a certain austerity, but does unfold nicely on the palate to reveal stylish, rich black currant fruit intermixed with subtle herbaceous notes, minerals, and wood spices. It requires 3-4 more years of cellaring, and should keep for a minimum of 10-15 years." —Robert M. Parker, Jr.
