No major wine region anywhere has changed so much in the last two decades as Champagne. And the reason for that is the Grower Champagne movement. Traditionally, small growers would sell their grapes to the Big Houses to make Champagnes with well-known brand names. Now, many of these growers produce their own Champagnes: "Grower Champagnes".
This has been fantastic for Champagne lovers. The quality of Grower Champagnes tends to be very high, and they now include some of the very finest Champagnes of them all. Grower Champagne also brings great diversity and wines that focus on single vineyards or single villages.
