Domaine Cottenceau’s 2022 Montagny Les Preaux comes from limestone-rich, well-drained soils in the Côte Chalonnaise. This Chardonnay is fermented with native yeasts and aged in stainless steel and neutral oak, emphasizing freshness and purity.

The wine offers crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest, and mineral lift with balanced acidity. A refined and approachable white Burgundy perfect with seafood or light poultry dishes.

Left Chardonnay

Maxime Cottenceau's family has been growing and selling off its grapes in Montagny for generations. After spending three years with Vincent Dureuil, he decided, in 2018, to start making and bottling his own wines. They are finally available here in the United States.

Stylistically, the wines echo Dureuil-Janthial’s depth, detail and cut, but there is a bit more power, and a bit more opulence — that’s Montagny's influence.
