Maxime Cottenceau's family has been growing and selling off its grapes in Montagny for generations. After spending three years with Vincent Dureuil, he decided, in 2018, to start making and bottling his own wines. They are finally available here in the United States.Stylistically, the wines echo Dureuil-Janthial’s depth, detail and cut, but there is a bit more power, and a bit more opulence — that’s Montagny's influence.
