Domaine Sérol leads the Côte Roannaise revival, farming biodynamically on high-altitude granite soils. “Oudan” is a single-slope Gamay Saint-Romain from a 400–450m vineyard planted by Stéphane Sérol nearly 20 years ago. The site’s southern exposure and granite subsoil yield lifted, mineral-driven wines.

The 2023 was hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, using about 40% whole clusters. After a 15–20 day maceration, it was aged 11 months in large wooden vats. The result is a refined, structured Gamay with bright fruit and granite-inflected tension.
