From one of Barolo's most coveted vineyard parcels comes this seductive, layered expression from the limestone-rich terroir of Monprivato. Sordo is the only producer outside the Mascarello family making wine from this southwest-facing site in Castiglione Falletto, aged 15 months in French oak and released in modest quantities of around 3,000 bottles annually. Vibrant red fruit—peaches, strawberries, cherries—with delicate cinnamon spice and a fine acidic backbone that rewards patient cellaring.
