Grand Cru white Burgundy from the Hill of Corton—one of only a handful of west-facing Grand Cru sites, where steep gradients (20–23%) and chalky marl soils with almost no topsoil create wines of extraordinary mineral intensity. Henri Boillot, based in Meursault, operates one of Burgundy's leading estates (15 hectares), excelling in both whites and reds. The 2016 vintage, despite frost-reduced yields, produced whites of remarkable freshness and purity. Approximately 75% new oak. A serious, structured wine that needs years in the cellar.
