Many California wineries strive to produce excellent, crowd-pleasing Cabs and Chardonnays — but that couldn't be further from the goal of Haarmeyer, who adore varieties like Chenin Blanc, Nebbiolo and Riesling. Not exactly what we think of when we think of Cali wine, but they do it well.
