En magnum. A worthy Champagne alternative, buttery on the palate with a tense minerality.

Domaine Champalou presides over 20 hectares in Vouvray, which is the Touraine region of the Loire, and is run by the dynamic Catherine Champalou. The domaine’s vineyards are planted on mostly clay, limestone, and siliceous soils. They embrace sustainable farming while also integrating the use of the lunar calendar more traditionally associated with organic viticulture. The family has been at the estate for nearly 20 years and during that time their wines have gained an excellent reputation for their aromatic, elegant, and balanced expressions of Chenin Blanc.

WS 84
"High-toned, with quince, honeysuckle and white peach aromas and flavors, giving way to a note of pineapple on the slightly cloying finish. Drink now." -James Molesworth
