There is no doubt that Elisabetta Foradori is one of the world's most influential winemakers. Her Agricola Foradori is situated in the beautiful Italian Dolomites, where German customs blend with Italian traditions. While big cooperatives have traditionally dominated the industry in the region, Foradori has been a pioneer in biodynamic farming and achieved Demeter certification in 2009.

The estate has been making wine since the 1930s, and Elisabetta has been in charge since 1984. Today, her children Emilio, Theo, and Myrtha lead the estate, bringing new energy and focus. Emilio and Theo are responsible for winemaking and marketing, while Myrtha has developed a vegetable and herb growing program, mainly under the pergolas at the Mezzolombardo vineyard. Under Emilio’s exacting standard the wine have reached a new pinnacle and are the best Foradori has produced to date

Elisabetta and Fam are enthusiastic proponents of organic and biodynamic farming, ensuring that not a single drop of chemical herbicide or pesticide contaminates her wines.

Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 91
"The woodsy 2023 Teroldego lifts from the glass with a pretty mix of crushed wild berries, geranium and wet stone. This is juicy and energetic in style, with tart red berry fruits that add tactile grip. The 2023 finishes admirably long with a slight tannic tug and a floral lift. This vintage may not be the longest-lived of Foradori’s Teroldegos, but it will certainly provide a lot of pleasure in the near term." -Eric Guido

"A dark core of black raspberry and plum, stony mineral, olive and fried sage flavors is enlivened by a bright, cranberry-infused tang of acidity in this balanced red, framed by light, chalky tannins. Teroldego."
