Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier’s 2017 Le Musigny is Grand Cru Pinot Noir at its most refined. From old vines on limestone soils, the wine is farmed organically and vinified with minimal intervention. Fermentation is with native yeasts; aging takes place in mostly new oak for over 18 months.

The 2017 vintage shows lifted aromatics, pure red fruit, and a long, mineral finish. In magnum, this wine captures Mugnier’s hallmark elegance and is built for decades of graceful aging.

A touch of wild fennel emerges with time, but everything is perfectly controlled. The palate is finely proportioned, perfectly balanced and very pure, with gentle grip.
