Ghislaine Barthod’s 2022 Aux Beaux Bruns comes from a 0.25-hectare parcel of 45-year-old vines just below Bonnes-Mares. This site produces one of the more structured, savory wines in her lineup.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged in modest new oak, the wine shows firm grip, dark fruit, and mineral length. Aux Beaux Bruns stands out for its depth and quiet power within Barthod’s Chambolle premiers crus.

"from a .75 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines. A slightly riper yet airy mix features notes of red and dark pinot fruit, earth and a relatively broad array of spice and floral nuances. The delicious, delicious and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors also conclude in a dusty, sappy and solidly powerful finish that goes on and on. This could use more depth but given how this is built, that should reasonably occur in time."
