Brut champagne made only from Chardonnay. The origins of the terroir are exposed by revealing a wine of great generosity. Usually the cuvée is made from a blend of 15 wines from 5 to 6 different vintages. Champagne is pure gold in color. The nose is expressive with fruit and brioche accents, upon aeration, it expresses hints of peach and hints of citrus. The palate is muscular, long with delightful finesse.70% of the wines are vinified in small oak barrels and 40% do not go thru malolactic fermentation.

"Light yellow. Poached pear, chamomile, sweet butter and toasty lees on the deeply scented nose. Picks up a spicy nuance with air, which adds lift to the ripe orchard fruit and candied fig flavors. In a powerful style but not lacking for vivacity. Finishes toasty and long, with a hint of grilled nuts and very good length. I also tasted the same wine from Lot L0912 and found it somewhat weightier and spicier." -Vinous
