"The Pinot Blanc dominates the nose of white flowers, apple and pear, complicated by a hint of thyme. Then fresh and juicy, offering ripe apple and pear flavors. The medium-long finish is tactile and clean and resonates strongly of Pinot Blanc, more so than of Auxerrois. Hugel owns only one plot of Pinot Blanc, the grapes of which are used to make this wine; but this is still a blend of roughly 50% Pinot Blanc and 50% Auxerrois. US readers take note: this wine is called Les Amours (rather than Classic, which is the name used in the rest of the world)." -Vinous

"Based on Pinot Blanc and an ever-decreasing proportion of Auxerrois from a very warm and dry vintage, the 2022 Pinot Blanc Cuvée Les Amours (or "Classic" in certain markets) has a clear and finely aromatic bouquet of bright fruits. The wine is lush and round on the palate, intense and structured and provided with fine, ripe acidity and a good finish. This is an excellent gastronomic white bottled with 13% stated alcohol in May 2023. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2024." -Stephan Reinhardt

"This is filled with notes of warm phyllo dough, ground spice and Turkish delight notes. Subtle hints of pear emerge on the finish." -Aleks Zecevic
