Jérôme Fornerot farms vines in Saint-Aubin with five centuries of family history behind him. His 2023 En Remilly comes from a stony, limestone-rich slope just beneath Chevalier-Montrachet, planted in 1988. The site’s exposure and soils yield structured, mineral-driven Chardonnay with natural tension.

Grapes are hand-harvested, pressed gently, and fermented with native yeasts in French oak (15% new). After 15 months in barrel and 3 months in tank, the wine shows floral citrus, saline lift, and balanced grip. A focused, age-worthy white from a benchmark Premier Cru.

Domaine Jérôme Fornerot traditionally sold off their grapes to négociants. But because of all those Burgundy price hikes, it has finally become economically feasible for them to produce and bottle their own wines. In fact, they are now able to invest in a larger and better wine-making facility, promising even higher quality in the future.
