Laurent went to the wine school in Beaune, did his internships with Rene Mure in Alsace and at Chateau Calon in Saint-Emilion. Earned an MBA in Bordeaux. In 2003 he became the regisseur of Chateau de Tracy in Pouilly-Fumé. In 2008 back to Marsannay to help Sylvain. In 2010 he began slowly building his own domaine. He has been farming organically since the beginning and uses biodynamic methods as well. He uses his grandfather's vertical press so the press cycles are very long, five to six hours. Fermentations are natural with ambient yeast and no added sulfur. The grapes are protected with CO2 by the addition of a small amount of dry ice. The reds are vinified with 100% whole cluster, 30% of which are partially crushed by foot or with an ancient crusher. In 2013 Laurent purchased a fallow vineyard in Marsannay Ez Chezots and his father rented him a vineyard in the same lieu-dit. He planted the fallow vineyard with a massal selection of Chardonnay Rose at a high density of 20,000 vines per hectare. This is the same rare sub-variety that Bruno Clair and Sylvain Pataille grow for their Marsannay Blanc.
