We are thrilled to invite you to a very special wine tasting seminar on Tuesday, November 12th from 5:30pm - 7pm, featuring the visionary winemaker Jean-Michel Morel of Kabaj Winery from Slovenia’s Goriška Brda region.
Jean-Michel Morel is not just a winemaker; he’s an artist whose unconventional inspirations have led to a remarkable collection of wines cherished by enthusiasts worldwide.
With a technical oenology degree from Bordeaux, he brings a foundation of classic winemaking techniques, yet his approach is anything but traditional. Together with his wife Katja Kabaj, he cultivates vineyards that capture the essence of Slovenia’s unique terroir. Drawing inspiration from the wild wines of his neighbor Gravner and the ancient practices of Georgian monks, Jean-Michel crafts wines that defy categorization while embodying the finesse of the classics.
At Kabaj Winery, the focus is on the emotion and experience each wine evokes. Jean-Michel believes in letting the wines speak for themselves, emphasizing the sensations in your glass over technical specifics. Jean-Michel’s passion is contagious, and while he may not divulge every detail of his winemaking process, his stories and philosophy will offer you a deeper appreciation for the art in your glass. For anyone passionate about wine, this evening promises not just a tasting but an awakening of the senses—a chance to explore wines that challenge conventions and celebrate the joy of discovery.
This is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the captivating world of Kabaj wines, which have been described as indescribable yet undeniably desirable—a true testament to Jean-Michel’s artistry and passion. Tickets are $50 per person, and each guest will receive a $10 store credit toward future purchases. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to reserve your spot today.
We hope you'll join us for an evening that promises to be as engaging and unique as the wines you’ll taste.
