Guigal’s La Landonne is the most structured of the estate’s “La La” Côte-Rôties, sourced from Syrah grown on the steep, iron-rich slopes of Côte Brune. The 1984 vintage, from a cool and challenging year, still produced a deeply savory, age-worthy wine through Guigal’s meticulous élevage.

Earthy and firm, it offers notes of leather, smoked meat, and spice, anchored by robust tannins. A rare vintage that reflects both terroir and cellar mastery.

This is a must-know producer, primarily because they produce about 1/3 of the AOC’s wines through both contracts and their own holdings.
