An Italian recipe made in the Bavarian Alps. Mondino traces its origins to a recipe that founder Max's grandfather Hans learned during the 1960s in Italy. Hans brought the formula back to Traunstein, in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, where Max and childhood friends Ferdinand, Florian, and Benedikt later revived it. Made from all-natural botanicals in a small family distillery. At 18% ABV, it's lighter than many Italian amari, making it an easy aperitivo—served over ice, with tonic, or in a spritz.
