Benoit fell in love with the wines of his home region while in business school. His wife happened to be childhood friends with Benedicte Tissot, of Domaine Tissot. The stars had aligned and in 2009 Benoit partnered with the Tissot's negociant (where they made wine from bought-in fruit, rather than their domaine fruit) and began learning the trade.
Shortly thereafter, Stephane Tissot decided to focus on his family's domaine. So Benoit and talented winemaker Jerome Arnoux began bottling the negociant wines under their own labels. They also acquired new vineyards to add to a growing venture known as Cellier des Tiercelines.
Benoit and Jerome make the entire range of Jura wines and styles, and they make them all very well.
