Champagne Bonnaire is a true family affair. The original Bonnaire — André, who joined his father-in-law at his Cramant-based domaine just after WWII — was as mad for fine Champagne as we are, and passed that passion along to his son; Andre’s grandsons, Jean-Emmanuel and Jean-Etienne, run the estate today.
Cramant isn’t just a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs, it’s one of the most celebrated villages in all of Champagne. Intensely chalky soils play very well with Chardonnay, imbuing wines made here with a scintillating minerality and lots of tension. We just tasted several brand-new wines from Champagne Bonnaire that perfectly marry ripe, concentrated fruit with Grand Cru-level minerality, and we are thrilled to introduce you to them.
