The hills of Eastern France, near the Swiss and Italian borders, are home to some of the country's most fascinating, dynamic and distinctive wines.

The Jura has long been famous among gastronome's for its Vin Jaune, but today is an international superstar of a region with producers like Ganevat and Overnoy. The Savoie is still slightly lower profile but makes delicious wines that are great with food. And don't forget Bugey, especially the simple, delicious treat, Bugey de Cerdon.

We have also included a few wines from the Swiss region of Valais, which shares many cultural similarities as well as the distinct Alpine terroir.
