Red Burgundy from a family that farms Santenay and Chassagne premier crus, made with the same hands and the same cellar as the wines several rungs up the ladder. The Borgeot brothers, Pascal and Laurent, work about twenty hectares out of Remigny, a village of a few hundred people wedged between Santenay and Chassagne-Montrachet with no appellation of its own — which is a large part of why their prices stay sane. Farming is lutte raisonnée: winter ploughing instead of herbicide, organic fertilizers only, going back more than two decades. This Bourgogne sees only a small proportion of new oak, so the fruit and the Côte de Beaune's red-earth savor come through unpainted. 2023 was Burgundy's rare combination of a big crop and real quality, and the reds came in fresh, transparent and immediately drinkable. Open it tonight with dinner rather than saving it for an occasion.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

Tasting Profile

Bright red cherry and cranberry with a little woodland earth and dried herb. Light to medium bodied, fine soft tannins, lively acidity, and a clean, savory finish. Serve with a slight chill.
