From the producer: Our 12 Cabernet Sauvignon blocks are spread across the 475-acre Estate at elevations ranging from 1,800 ft to 2,200 ft. There are numerous soil profiles across these blocks, including compressed volcanic ash, fractured volcanic cobbles, gravelly loam, and cobbled clay.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a pretty rich, bombastic wine, especially for Mayacamas. A blast of dark fruit, incense, tobacco, licorice, spice and mocha hits the palate. I would give the 2019 at least a few years in bottle to settle down, as it is quite the powerhouse today. This is an unusually flamboyant wine with plenty of richness and a bit less in the way of subtlety. The opulence of the vintage comes through loud and clear." —Vinous

Since the 1950's Mayacamas Vineyards has made a name for themselves in being one of the best producers of California Cabernet - not a small feat! The winery takes a traditional and almost old world approach to all of their wines, preserving the identity and terroir of their mountain fruit (mostly from Mt. Veeder), in order to create wines that are meant to last. Older expressions of their wines are compelling and truly complex, a treat for those who have patience!
