Welcome to the year of 2016 Brunello di Montalcino! Here's a quick reminder, in case you haven't yet been exposed to all the hype — totally justified — about the 2016 vintage in Tuscany. The region enjoyed ideal growing conditions (steady warm, but not hot weather, a perfect amount of rainfall, and strong diurnal shifts between daytime and nighttime temperatures), ensuring wines of purity and elegance. Like 2016 Barolo, some of the wines can be enjoyed in their youth, but nearly all are incredibly age worthy.
