A Loire Valley native, but not from a winemaking family, Benoit Courault is a young vigneron beloved by the natural wine scene. Eschewing chemicals in the vines and in the cellar, and employing a horse for plowing and other manual tasks, Benoit’s philosophy harkens to a time past. His wines are supple, vibrant and charming, and we are particularly impressed by his ability to transmit terroir through the glass. The Loire Valley’s historic grape varieties have never had it so good.
