"The 2022 Red Blend Quartet is a terrific entry-level offering from Arietta. Bright and punchy, the 2022 is hugely delicious. Juicy red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint and spice are nicely pushed forward. The 2022 is very fine. This is the first vintage in which Syrah replaces Petit Verdot as the fourth variety in the blend." -Antonio Galloni

"The 2022 Quartet Red Wine blends 71% Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville with 16% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Syrah, all from Carneros. With only 19% new French oak, it's barely noticeable on the complex nose, which offers up hints of tobacco, sage and more floral elements alongside notes of cassis and black cherries. Medium to full-bodied in the mouth, it's silky and delicious, even if it may fall off just a bit on the finish to reveal a touch of caramel. It's hard to believe this is an "entry-level" wine—it's that good."

"Arietta's Quartet Red, crafted my Andy Erickson, was aged 20 months in French oak and is delicious in 2022, offering a redberry and blackcherry fruit profiel, elegant cedarwood spices, and a FB framework of robust tannins that resolve nicely allowing for blue fruit and mocha notes to emerge along with savoury brown spices and hints of sage and loamy earth on the long finish — a great wine in 2022 and one to enjoy alongside long meals."
