Ferruccio Carlotto is a welcome new addition to our shelves, via Kermit Lynch, who just started bringing in the wines. Ferruccio and his daughter, Michela, use lutte raisonnee principles to work just under 5ha of highly mixed soils in the Alto Adige, just south of Bolzano. Mostly porphyritic igneous (volcanic) material over a limestone base, the terroir here also features very varied alluvial content washed down over millennia from the Alps.
