Monsecco was a very well established and historic producer in Piedmont for most of the 20th century, but for a myriad of reasons went under in the late 1970’s and ‘80’s. In 1993 a local winemaking family, the Zanettos, purchased some of the vineyards and revived the label. They have been producing excellent versions of Gattinara, Ghemme and Sizzano among others ever since.
