Porta del Vento is a natural winery in Camporeale, Sicily, on the island's northeast corner. Though volcanic soils still dominate, the influence is less pronounced than on Etna, and a more delicate minerality typically shines through. Helmed by Marco Sferlazzo, the emphasis is on biodynamic practices, biodiversity, working with the earth's rhythms and a minimum of intervention in the cellar (native yeasts and large, old aging vessels).
