Valérie Forgues works in a very rudimentary wine facility just a five minute drive from Clos Roche Blanche. She got started in 2008. Having purchased the domaine in the late 90s with her then-husband, in 2008 she found herself alone and in need of assistance. Didier and Catherine -- the couple behind CRB -- were there for her.
They had to take her through all the steps. They taught her the importance of organic viticulture, of being close to the vines. Didier spent weeks and weeks with Valerie showing her how to make great wine in the winery by doing very little.
Five years later, Forgues' wines were really good, but still a work in progress. But by 2016, everything was in place: the winery was finally hand-harvesting everything and had even stopped using sulfur! The Dressners started to import them.
