Pierre Morey farms his Monthelie biodynamically across six small plots near the village, on limestone and iron-rich soils planted in the 1960s. A former Domaine Leflaive winemaker, Morey brings the same precision to this red, vinifying with minimal intervention.

The 2021 vintage is cool and classical, offering finely structured Pinot with lifted fruit and earthy depth. Elegant and site-driven, it’s accessible young but built to evolve gracefully.

Left Village Burgundy

Pierre Morey is a towering figure in Meursault. Along with his own prime vineyards he was also the winemaker at Domaine Leflaive in the 1980's and early '90's. He was one of the first growers in the region to fully embrace biodynamic farming, converting both Leflaive and his own domaine and reaching full certification by 1997. Now his daughter, Anne Morey, has taken the helm and is continuing on the path he started. She is a very intelligent, passionate and gracious person and her talents in the vineyard and cellar are exceptional.
