Pinot Grigio with an actual address: the 2025 Terra Alpina comes from certified organic vineyards in the Dolomites, planted at 750 to 1,150 feet. Terra Alpina is the range Alois Lageder makes with partner growers across the wider Dolomiti area. Lageder is a family winery in Alto Adige founded in 1823, which farms all its own vineyards biodynamically and pushes its growers to go organic or biodynamic too. For this cuvée, Lageder draws on vineyards in Magrè, Salorno and northern Trentino, most of them trained on the traditional pergola. The vines grow in soils that are mostly Dolomitic limestone with some volcanic porphyry, and the area sees big swings between day and night temperatures. The house calls the Dolomiti Alpine and Mediterranean at once, cool and mild, rugged rock and green hills. That is a fair description of what a good everyday white should be too. This is the Pinot Grigio we'd hand to anyone who has written the grape off as anonymous.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.
