Baron Thénard has farmed in Givry since the 18th century and owns top Premier Cru sites, including the historic Clos du Cellier aux Moines. This steep, mid-slope vineyard, once cultivated by Cistercian monks, sits on clay-limestone soils ideal for structured Pinot Noir.

The 2019 was foot-trodden in old wooden vats, fermented with native yeasts, and aged 12–18 months in mostly large, old foudres. A classic, mineral Givry with bright fruit, spice, and age-worthy structure.
