One of bourbon's most mythologized labels, put back the way people remember it. Black Maple Hill built its following in the 2000s on very old sourced Kentucky whiskey — early releases were bottled by Julian Van Winkle III and are widely believed to have included Stitzel-Weller stock — then lost the thread in the mid-2010s when the brand switched to Oregon-distilled whiskey. Rare Character Whiskey Co., the Lexington outfit founded by Pablo Moix and Peter Nevenglosky, has taken over the name and returned it to bourbon distilled and aged in Kentucky, bottled at the label's original 95 proof. This is the eleven-year premium small batch: old enough for real barrel character, at a strength that still takes a splash of water or a large cube comfortably.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened spirits within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.
  • Under no circumstances do we accept returns of opened spirits.
