Château de Pez is one of Saint-Estèphe’s oldest estates, dating to 1452 and now owned by Louis Roederer. The 2020 vintage blends 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and small amounts of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Vines grow on gravelly clay-limestone soils with Atlantic influence, yielding structured, ageworthy wines.

The wine was vinified parcel by parcel and aged 12 months in French oak, 35–40% new. It shows dense black fruit, firm tannins, and savory, saline depth. A classic Left Bank claret with polish and power.
