Domaine du Haut Bourg’s 2023 “La Désirée” is a parcel-specific Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu made from Melon de Bourgogne grown on schist-rich soils. The Choblet family farms sustainably, keeping yields low and fermenting with native yeasts in underground tanks.

This cuvée is aged for extended time on lees, adding texture and savory complexity. Crisp acidity and mineral depth frame orchard fruit and saline notes. A structured, gastronomic Muscadet with impressive concentration.

Domaine du Haut Bourg, a 4th-generation winery nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Loire River, does something few Muscadet producers do: hold back parcels of their old-vines cuvée, releasing it only after many years of lees contact. This crucial step in the winemaking imparts complexity and a richer, more complete texture.
