Master distiller Felipe Camarena's overproof blanco, from El Pandillo distillery in Jesus Maria, Jalisco. The production is resolutely traditional: 100% Blue Weber agave cooked 22 hours in stone ovens, crushed by a handmade metal tahona nicknamed 'Felipestein,' and double-distilled in copper. At 108 proof (54% ABV), this is blanco tequila with the volume turned up—the higher proof amplifies the agave character, making it both an exceptional sipping tequila and a cocktail powerhouse that won't disappear behind citrus and ice.
