Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

Italy is full of regions where borders blur and identities overlap, but few are as striking as the Alto Adige. Officially Italy, culturally Germanic, this Alpine region feels like a world apart — a place where steep vineyards cling to mountain slopes, rivers cut through narrow valleys, and the wines speak with a distinct accent.

That’s what makes the wines of Kuenhof so fascinating. The estate sits above the town of Bressanone (Brixen in German), in the Valle Isarco — one of the northernmost wine regions in Italy, and one of the most dramatically beautiful. Here, the vineyards rise between 550 and 700 meters in elevation, perched on terraces overlooking the valley floor. The air is cool, the soils are rocky, and the wines are pure Alpine in spirit.

It’s no coincidence that the grape varieties grown here — Riesling, Sylvaner, and Veltliner — are the same ones you’d expect to find across the border in Austria or Germany. These are varieties that thrive in mountain climates, where they can develop both intensity and precision without ever losing freshness.

These are wines of clarity and place, shaped by altitude, history, and the unique crossroads of cultures that define Alto Adige. They are mountain wines in every sense: bright, vivid, and refreshingly different.
