Le Petit Saint Vincent Saumur Champigny Les Clos Lyzieres 2020

Les Clos Lyzières comes from a choice parcel of Cabernet Franc vines just outside the village of Varrains and adjacent to the famous Poyeux vineyard. Vinified and aged entirely in concrete vat. The objective: to showcase the most pure expression of fruit from these soils.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

More about Le Petit Saint Vincent

Thanks to the Clos Rougeard, Saumur Champigny has become a hot bed of new and exciting producers. But around the village of Varrains, Le Petit Saint Vincent (Dominique Joseph) has been making exciting wines for decades, and he’s been doing it all organically. Just like his neighbors at Clos Rougeard, he’s got the terroir that makes Saumur Champigny so great – limestone and clay – and he applies his hard work and traditional methods to let it shine.

If you’re lucky enough to drink Clos Rougeard, you’ll notice one big difference with these wines: they are not aged in oak. Instead they are vinified and aged in concrete, this gives just a little more immediate access to the taste of Varrains—its clean fruit, savory nuance, and cool limestoniness.
