Momo Marlborough Pinot Noir 2023

Momo is the entry tier from Seresin Estate, the Marlborough domaine founded by New Zealand-born filmmaker Michael Seresin and farmed biodynamically since the early 2000s. The wines are made the same way as the top Seresin bottlings, just with broader sourcing and a lighter hand in the cellar. The 2023 Pinot Noir comes from Seresin's three certified biodynamic estate vineyards in the Wairau Valley and is aged twelve months in older barriques, so oak stays in the background. The result is a fresh, transparent Marlborough Pinot built around lifted red cherry, dried herb and a savory undertone of forest floor. Crunchy texture, fine tannins and bright acidity make it an easy weeknight bottle that drinks well above its station.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"The 2023 Momo Pinot Noir is reductive and a little meaty upon opening, but beneath it a core of strawberry, red apple and shortcrust pastry is revealed. The tannins are chalky and a bit chewy, which adds a layer of interest and dimension to the wine. It's uncomplicated but good for that. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap." —Erin Larkin
