Rolling Fork 11 Year El Salvador Rum

Rolling Fork’s Small Batch El Salvador Rum is an aged rum finished and bottled in Starlight, Indiana. Column-distilled by an undisclosed distillery in El Salvador from estate-grown sugarcane molasses and aged for an initial 10 years in the tropical climate of El Salvador, the rum was then imported for additional maturation in Rolling Fork’s rickhouse. Upon arrival, the rum was divided into 22 casks—3 Oloroso sherry casks, 5 port wine casks, 4 rye whiskey casks, and 10 Kentucky bourbon barrels and aged for an additional 22 months.

The tannic influence of the Oloroso and port casks’ French oak is counterpointed by the American oak whiskey casks resulting in a spirit that shows unbelievable complexity. A spicy nose of cinnamon, clove, and vanilla baking spices transitions to a rich and fruity palate displaying bright citrus and dark fruit anchored by caramel. The baking spices reemerge on the finish along with hazelnut, raisin, and cherry. Bottled at cask strength without additives or coloring, this award-winning rum is sure to satisfy any lover of premium rum or whiskey. Non-chill filtered; 55% ABV.
