Looking forward to the week ahead in San Francisco- February 3rd, 2020

Dear Friends of Flatiron,

It was sad to see the 49er's lose last night so if you need to nurse your blues we obviously have you covered. However we've got some real winners on deck this week for tastings and offers. Check out what we've got cooked up...

This Weeks Tastings

Wednesday February 5th
Meet the Winemaker: Will Camarda from Andrew Will Winery from 5 to 7pm- The wines of Andrew Will are synonymous with classic Washingtonian wine. Established in 1989 by Chris Camarda the winery has evolved from a simple solitary building to a fully fledged world class operation. Andrew Will wines have helped vineyards such as Ciel du Cheval, Champoux, May's Discovery and Two Blondes to international recognition. Join us and winemaker Will Camarda for an educational evening with the best of Washington wine.

Thursday February 6th
Meet the Winemaker: Ross Cobb from Cobb Wines from 5 to 7pm- In 2001, two generations of the Cobb family came together to explore a shared passion for pinot noir with the founding of Cobb Wines. Focused exclusively on crafting single-vineyard, Sonoma Coast pinot noirs, Cobb Wines combines the winegrowing expertise of David Cobb, one of the pioneers of pinot noir viticulture on the far Sonoma Coast, with the winemaking talents of his son, noted pinot noir specialist Ross Cobb. Cobb Wines are some of our favorite Pinots and Ross is one of our favorite winemakers and not just because of his wine. Come to this tasting and find out why!

Friday February 7th
Meet the Winemaker: Paola Rinaldi from Francesco Rinaldi Tasting from 5 to 7pm- The great traditionalist estate of Francesco Rinaldi e Figli is one of the greatest names in Piemonte. Located in the town of Barolo itself, the domaine of Francesco Rinaldi was founded in 1870, when Francesco Rinaldi inherited a vineyard and house in Barolo. The current head of the family estate is the spry, nearly 90-year old Luciano Rinaldi, who took over the reigns of the family winery all the way back in 1941. Today he is ably assisted by his nieces, Paola & Piera Rinaldi, as they continue to make beautiful wines within the great traditions of Barolo. Meet Paola Rinaldi and taste some of her families historic wines.

Featured in our weekly newsletter we're excited to be offering new releases from local legen Broc Cellars, 2017 Gruners and a Riesling from Franz Hirtzberger, 2016 Côte-Rôtie from Gilles and Julien Barge as well as the 2016 Langhe Nebbiolo from Luigi Oddero.
