This Weeks Tastings

Monday January 27th
Alsatian Wines with Domaines Schlumberger from 5 to 7pm- Founded by Nicolas Schlumberger in 1810, Domaines Schlumberger produce 100% estate-bottled wines from southern Alsace. Today, the 6th and 7th generations carry on the family tradition. Because of the aridity and steepness of these domaines, the yields are about 50% of the average for the appellation of Alsace. The result is small yields of the highest quality grapes with exceptional concentration of flavor. Whether you're a dyed-in-the-wool Alsatian wine lover or not you'll find something to love in these wines.

Wednesday January 29th
Portuguese Odyssey with Mission Wine Merchants from 5 to 7pm- If your mission is some delicious outside-the-box wines the consider it completed. Mission Wine Merchants has some of the most interesting and authentic Portuguese wines out there and we're excited to share them with you. We've got wines from the Azores, the Douro and Vinho Verde the likes of which few have seen so you won't want to miss this tasting.

Thursday January 30th
Classic Classic Australian wines from Penfolds from 5 to 7pm- The success of Penfolds has been driven by the generations of visionaries and innovators. From the beginning in 1844 to today, the merging of science, art and innovation has driven Penfolds to become one of Australia’s most famed and respected winemakers. Experience wines from this quintessentially Aussie producer for a taste of true heritage from down under.

Friday January 31st
Meet the Winemaker: Faith Armstrong with Onward and Farmstrong Wines from 5 to 7pm- Faith Armstrong is one of our favorite winemakers and is the force behind two labels rooted in sustainability, integrity, and personal connection. Onward is her project focused on site driven single-vineyard selections while Farmstrong is a label all about dynamic blends that tilt their hat to California’s diversity and history. Meet Faith and check out two great expressions of Californian terroir.

Featured in our weekly newsletter we're excited to be offering some tasty everyday French whites from Domaine de la Fruitiere, an introduction to the beautiful Baga grape through the lens of Portuguese icon Filipa Pato, three vintages of exciting Chinon from Bernard Baudry and the legendary Barolo Monprivato from Giuseppe Mascarello.
