Her uncle, Giusto Occhipinti, was already making world-class wines under the COS label, proving that Vittoria’s terroir deserved as much attention as Etna’s volcanic slopes. Yet, it was Arianna who made Vittoria’s wines feel essential, personal, and alive to a new generation of drinkers. Through her lens, Frappato and Nero d’Avola weren’t just historical Sicilian grapes intended for mass-produced supermarket wines—they became key ingredients for finesse, transparency, and a kind of soulful elegance that set them apart from our prior prejudices about non-Etna Sicily.

Her SP68 Rosso continues to be one of the most effortless, drinkable expressions of Vittoria—light on its feet but unmistakably Sicilian. The SP68 Bianco, a skin-contact blend of Zibibbo and Albanello, is floral, salty, and endlessly complex. And then there’s Il Frappato, a wine that helped change the grape’s reputation from something simple and rustic to something serious, expressive, and downright beautiful.
