Alex Moreau Meursault 1er Cru Porusot 2022 [NET]

Porusot is one of the great Meursault premier crus, perched on the upper slope toward Puligny with thinner soils and more limestone than the richer Meursault crus to the north. Alex Moreau is best known as a Chassagne grower, so seeing his name on a Meursault label is still relatively new - this is a small parcel and a fairly recent addition to the domaine's lineup. The wine combines Meursault's classic generosity with a Puligny-leaning energy: powerful but precise, broad but lifted. Long pressing, native-yeast fermentation, aging in mostly Francois Freres barrels. [NET] indicates special net pricing.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"The 2022 Meursault Les Porusots 1er Cru is courtesy of an exchange of fruit. It has a tightly wound bouquet with cooking apple and light tertiary scents, actually quite Puligny-like in style. The palate is fresh on the entry with a fine bead of acidity, enticing apricot and white peach notes and a harmonious finish that needs a little more mineralité and tension. Fine." —Neal Martin
