The 2023 Garnacha Arroyo del Tórtolas is 100% Garnacha from Gredos. The attractive nose offers precise pomegranate aromas with hints of pink grapefruit, herbs, dried roses and rosehip. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy freshness and stem tannins enhancing the flavor and structure. The gum tannins leave a clear, clean finish marked by rich fruit.

Returns & Exchanges

We stand behind every bottle we sell.

  • If the wine is less than 10 years old and it is corked, you may return it to us for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase. You must show us proof of purchase. We understand that you may not live near a shop and that it is difficult to ship open bottles of wine to us, so if there's any problem feel free to Contact Us and we'll work it out.
  • For wines older than 10 years, the consumer bears the risk of a faulty cork, but we accept returns of older bottles if the wine is faulty as a result of improper storage. Please come by the store or Contact Us if there is a problem.
  • We may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, accept returns of unopened wines within 30 days of purchase if they were properly stored by the purchaser, subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

"The 2023 Arroyo del Tórtolas is a single-vineyard Garnacha from a north-facing, 80-year-old plot that achieves high ripeness. This year, the wine has 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.37 and 5.85 grams of acidity. It fermented with 80% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and matured in four 500-liter used barrels. It has a bright ruby color and a ripe and complex nose without excess, with mixed flowers, herbs and wild berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied and has abundant but very supple, fine-grained tannins." —Luis Gutiérrez

But Bernabeleva's subzone of San Martín de Valdeiglesias can yield distinctly higher-quality wines than the rest of this interior zone. Using biodynamic methods, the estate crafts several different all-Grenache wines, all with great freshness and elegance.
