From 40-year-old Gamay vines planted on clay-limestone soils in southern Burgundy, the Tripoz family's Les Perrières captures pure drinkability without sacrificing depth. Whole-bunch fermented in semi-carbonic maceration and aged on lees in barrel for six months, this biodynamically farmed wine displays remarkable mineral structure courtesy of the dominant limestone character. Fine, melted tannins and red-fruit aromatics make it effortlessly food-friendly, yet there's enough tension and freshness to reward your attention.
