Domaine Cottenceau’s 2022 Givry Blanc Champ Pourot is a Chardonnay from clay-limestone soils in the Côte Chalonnaise. Native yeast fermented and aged in neutral oak and stainless steel, it emphasizes freshness and minerality.

The wine offers bright citrus, white flowers, and a flinty mineral backbone with balanced acidity. An elegant white Burgundy with refined texture and food-friendly appeal.

Maxime Cottenceau's family has been growing and selling off its grapes in Montagny for generations. After spending three years with Vincent Dureuil, he decided, in 2018, to start making and bottling his own wines. They are finally available here in the United States.

Stylistically, the wines echo Dureuil-Janthial’s depth, detail and cut, but there is a bit more power, and a bit more opulence — that’s Montagny's influence.
