Familia Torres produces Purgatori from high-altitude vineyards in Costers del Segre, farmed organically on calcareous soils. The 2021 blend is about 75% Garnacha and 25% Cariñena, sourced from the historic “Els Desterrats” estate once tended by exiled monks. The site’s extremes yield concentrated fruit and natural structure.

Fermented in stainless steel and aged 12–16 months in French oak (around 30% new), the wine is rich and structured. Dark fruit, spice, and earthy grip frame a powerful yet balanced red built for aging.
